Abstract

Consumers want their clothes to smell good after they are washed with the help of a detergent, however, delivering fragrance to washed clothes is difficult since the surfactant cannot distinguish between the stains and oily materials. Scientists and London's Unilever department have discovered low-cost antibodies with affinity for one or more molecular surfaces and they intend to add these to detergent so they can deliver perfume to laundry in the wash.
