Abstract
- Amendment 9 to Annex 13 of the International Civil Aviation Organization will improve international cooperation in the investigation of airline accidents. International airline accident investigations can involve up to three countries, the country of location, the country of the airline, and the country of the aircraft manufacturer. Usually cooperation in investigation goes well, but differences in local laws can cause problems. Amendment 9, which goes into effect Nov 10, 1994, will make many recommended procedures standard.<br />One of the key elements of international aircraft accident investigation is the cooperation among the foreign investigating teams involved.
