Abstract
- Differential scanning, calorimetric and X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis of Steinbach tridymite between room temperature and 650 degrees Celsius under atmospheric pressure show the involvement of three phase transitions between 350 and 475 degrees Celsius. A model with O disorder explains the high-temperature transitions between 100 and 154 degrees Celsius. Steinbach tridymite exhibits an orthorhombic superstructure.
