Abstract
- An empirical eigenfunction expansion, investigating the noise correlation in dibit recording patterns, identifies dibit in-phase and out-of-phase jitters to be the dominant noise modes. A unified effect of both parameters results in noise amplitude increase and bit separation decrease, simultaneously causing supralinear noise improvement in the data.
