Matrix group algorithm via improved whitening process for extracting statistically independent sources from array signals

An improved whitening scheme for blind source separation, a novel biquadratic contrast function for extraction of independent sources and an efficient alternative method for joint implementation of a set of approximate diagonalization-structural matrices, is presented. The results have shown that the performance of the improved whitening scheme is much better than the classical whitening methods.
