Abstract

The architecture of a modular fault-tolerant hypercube, MH(n, m, p) includes spare nodes in the fault tolerant modules (FTM). These spare nodes can be used as remote spares for replacing faulty nodes in other FTMs or as local spares for replacing faulty nodes in the parent FTM. This increases the system reliability. The hypercube also enables reconfiguration of switch and link failures.
