Abstract

A strategy for the simultaneous processing of paper and World-Wide Web versions of a document is proposed. The strategy is based on the desktop publishing software FrameMaker and the configurable translator WebMaker. Among the advantages offered by a scheme based on FrameMaker and WebMaker are the FrameMaker WYSIWYG authoring interface, simple maintenance of World-Wide Web multi-file document webs and easy translation of FrameMaker documents that were not originally intended for World-Wide Web.
