Abstract
- Overexpression of E2F1 transcription factor, using a recombinant adenovirus containing the human E2F1 gene, in mink lung epithelial cells exhibiting transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta)-mediated growth arrest helps assess the role of E2F1 transcription factor. E2F1 overexpression prevents growth inhibition mediated by TGF-beta. Thus, E2F activation is a downstream target for the TGF-beta-mediated cyclin-dependent kinases.
