Abstract

The arcuate segments of chasmata and the gravity signal of coronae of the planet Venus indicate that there are two different types of coronae, formed by different processes. Small coronae with a diameter of 100 kilometers originating from diapiric mantle upwellings and coronae of different sizes formed from chasmata arcuate segments are the two types of coronae. The presence of the two types of coronae is revealed in the global spherical harmonic model of the gravity field of Venus.
