Abstract

Spectroscopic studies help characterize (5,10,15-Tri-X-Phenyl-2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18-octamethylcorrolato)cobalt(III) triphenylphosphine complexes (X-substituents), prepared by a new procedure. 1H NMR experiments help determine the activation parameters for interconversion between different atropisomers of o-Cl derivative. Electrochemical studies help analyze the redox characteristics of the complex, and nature of the phenyl ring substituent exerts significant influence on the redox behavior.
