Inheritance of brown stem rot resistance in soybean cultivar BSR 101

Abstract: Experimental studies on the resistance of soybean cultivar BSR101 to Phialophora gregata-induced brown stem rot indicates the presence of at least two resistance genes, the dominant one being the Rbs3 gene. The Rbs3 gene is allelic to the resistance gene in PI437970 cultivar. The gene inducing additional resistance may be related to the Rbs3 gene or could be the Rbs1 gene.
