Abstract
- Investigation of the structure of trilithiated dimethylphenol crystal indicates four lithium phenoxide functionalities to constitute the core of the crystal, surrounded by an eight-membered ring, wherein O- and Li+ atoms are arranged alternately. The coordination geometries of the Li atoms are identical. There is an asymmetric bridging between the two benzylic sp3 'lone pairs' and two Li+ ions.
