Three-dimensional structure of CdX (X=Se,Te) nanocrystals by total x-ray diffraction

Abstract: The three-dimensional structure of oleic acid-capped CdSe and thiol-capped CdTe nanocrystals used as quantum dots is determined by total synchrotron radiation x-ray diffraction and atomic pair distribution functional analysis. The results have shown that both CdSe and CdTe have displayed the zinc-blende-type atomic ordering.
