Abstract
- The combination of a modified arc-length method and a progressive failure model to the nonlinear finite element method aided in accurately estimating the postbuckling compressive strength of laminated composite cylindrical panels. The postbuckling compressive strength, which is significant in the panel with large values of axial direction bending rigidity, was found to be negatively correlated to initial buckling stress.
