Abstract

The Ilulissat village in Greenland had experienced a 9 degree F rise in temperature due to rapid ice melting. The formation of glacial lakes amplifies ice melting, which in turn, speeds up global warming. Details on the environmental situation of the largest island on the planet are discussed.
