Abstract

The pressure drops and temperature increases of coolant in a DC-SC and AC-SC power cables are compared by fluid analysis. Results suggest the existence of high temperature spots in the LN2 conduit and that the pressure drop of DC-SC power transmission line (PT) is half of that of AC-SC PT.
