Development of an instrument for assessing self-efficacy in schizophrenic spectrum disorders

The development of a psychometric tool to measure self-efficacy in schizophrenics is described. The self-efficacy scale, which assesses the schizophrenics' behavior and motivational factors, is found to be experimentally valid and statistically reliable. The methodology of the self-efficacy scale is discussed.
