Abstract

The concept of hybrid polymers is proposed for liquid crystal (LC) alignment by nanoimprint lithography (NIL) technology in order to optimize thermomechanical properties and surface activity that is important for the LC alignment. Results show that LC devices using the hybrid polymer layer have demonstrated stable electro-optic characteristics even after thermal aging.
