Abstract
- Data from the National Health Interview Survey's 1988 National Child Health Supplement was used to study how children reared by grandparents adjust in terms of health and education. Results show that children who were brought up by their grandparents have better performances compared to those who were raised by a single biological parent. Excluding school performance, these children were found to exhibit no significant difference from those who were brought up by two biological parents.
