Abstract
- Most Florida newspapers managed to conduct business as usual as Hurricane Erin hit on Aug 2, 1995. The hurricane only reached Category 1, compared to the Category 4 Hurricane Andrew that did so much damage in 1992. The papers had prepared for a worst case scenario, changing press times and sending workers home early.
