Abstract
- A Gallup poll conducted May 8-12, 1995, found that Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien has the approval of 68% of his constituents. Nineteen percent disapprove of his performance. These approval ratings are an all-time high for a Prime Minister in Gallup polls, surpassing the previous record of 64%. Chretien has the support of the majority of people in every region of the country, and his highest approval rating, 80%, was registered in Ontario. Public opinion of Lucien Bouchard and Preston Manning is also discussed.
