Abstract

A Gallup survey conducted June 12-16, 1995, found that the ruling Liberal Party of Canada has earned the approval of 52% of Canadians. This is a decrease of 5% from the high of 57% recorded in December of 1994. The Liberals have a higher approval than disapproval rating in every region of the country other than Quebec, and their approval rating is twice as high as the approval rating given the Progressive Conservative Party when they were in their second year of federal rule in 1986.
