Abstract: The synthesis and photophysical properties of anthraquinone-bridged mononuclear and dinuclear platinum(II) complexes are described. The results have shown that the restriction of the Pt-Pt distance flexibility in the rigid structure of this complex has prevented the increase of the Pt-Pt interaction at the excited state.
