House advances MSA bill; Senate eyeing changes

The House Ways and Means Committee has drafted proposals which grant a tax-free status to medical savings accounts (MSA). The MSA provision is expected to be part of the budget reconciliation bill. About 61% to 75% of employees could save money by using MSAs, but older and sicker employees could pay more if they used MSAs.
