Abstract: Securities enforcement in Canada needs to be improved so as to tackle white collar crimes that influence investors' opinion of the country. There have been high-profile cases wherein investigations have not even been initiated. Details on the responsibilities of the securities commissions and the need for enforcement mandate in a separate agency are discussed.
