Abstract

A Gallup survey conducted Sep 6-11, 1995, found that 57% of Canadians approve of the job Jean Chretien is doing as their nation's Prime Minister. Only 24% disapprove of the job Chretien is doing. The only region of the country where Chretien does not enjoy the support of a majority of citizens is Quebec. Chretien's approval is strongest amongst middle class males, those with higher educations and wealthier Canadians.
