Abstract
- Two single-chain intracellular antibodies have been used to downregulate the high-affinity human interleukin 2 receptor (IL-2R-alpha). In stimulated Jurkat T cells the intracellular expression of a single-chain antibody, a fragment of the anti-Tac monoclonal antibody, completely inhibits cell surface expression of IL-2R-alpha. Also a single-chain antibody without the endoplasmic reticulum retention signal blocks the cell surface expression of IL-2R-alpha.
