Abstract

The magnetic anisotropy of the multilayered structures strongly depends on the structures of the interface and the uniaxial character of these multilayers decreases largely due to intermixing of the layers and as a result less magnetic anisotropic films are produced. Magneto-optic Kerr rotation, measured at a suitable photon wavelength where the rotation depends on induced polarization of nonferromagnetic constituents, gives a rough measurement for the extent of intermixing.
