Abstract

A systematic study is conducted to modulate the photoresponse of quantum dot solar cells by varying the size and shape of semiconductor nanostructures. The results have highlighted the ability to tune the photoelectrochemical response and photoconversion efficiency via size control of CdSe quantum dots and improvement in the photoconversion efficiency by facilitating the charge transport through Ti[O.sub.2] nanotube architecture.
