Abstract

A Gallup survey conducted Nov. 8-13, 1995 found that 60% of Canadians do not think the federal government is handling the economy competently. Only about one in three approve of the federal government's management of the government. Residents of Atlantic Canada voice the highest approval (40%), followed by Ontario, Prairies, British Columbia, and Quebec. In Quebec, 74% do not think the federal government is handling the economy well.
