Abstract
- A Gallup survey conducted Nov 8-13, 1995 found that national unity among Canadians is the top worry. A quarter of Canadians placed national unity issues as top priorities in November, up from 8% four months earlier. This rating follows the close vote on the referendum that would have granted sovereignty to Quebec province. Twenty-two percent of Canadians consider unemployment the biggest concern and 21% consider the economy the most important problem. Fewer Canadians think government deficits and debts are serious concerns, dropping from 27% in Jan 1995 to 13% in Nov 1995.
