Abstract
- Discount retailers are expected to continue to experience financial difficulties in 1996. Kmart is attempting to solve its problems while regional discounters, Jamesway Corp, Caldor Corp and Bradlees filed for bankruptcy. Wal-Mart will increase its supercenters and Target Stores plans to expand into the eastern US.
