Enhancement of ferroelectric and magnetic properties in BiFe[O.sub.3] films by small amount of cobalt addition

Abstract: Both the ferroelectric and magnetic properties of polycrystalline BiFe[O.sub.3] films fabricated by chemical solution deposition can be increased by adding small amounts of cobalt. The results have shown that both ferroelectric and magnetic properties are increased when only a small amount of cobalt is added to the films.
