Abstract
- The fabrication and characterization of Ba(1-x)KxBiO3 (BKBO) single crystals exhibiting a Meissner state in 70% of its volume fraction has been carried out. The blue-black crystals, which demonstrate a sharp diamagnetic transition at 30 K, were grown on a platinum anode via electrolytic deposition. Besides this, polycrystalline samples with a Meissner effect of about 50% were also powder synthesized at 715 degrees Celsius using a ceramic technology.
