Abstract
- The future of the National Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders (NACRO) depends on the pilot Government scheme. The training wing of NACRO, providing training to people with special learning needs such as ex-offenders, is affected as government funding depends on trainees moving into work. The government's decision to allocate a portion of the adult training fund to new courses will help NACRO's New Careers Training. The pilot scheme, now restricted to adults, will probably be extended to youths between 16 and 18 years of age.
