Abstract

Concurrent engineering is one of several newly developed concepts in manufacturing efficiency where design and production are integrated to maximize the output process. An automated assembly model is considered for the peg in hole product. The model defines an assembly process where input and output costs are minimized while production capacity and output are maximized. Such a system must consider tolerance, allowance and robot repeatability for the circular part.
