Jack's back!

Motion Picture Assn of America Pres Jack Valenti has resurfaced on the political scene in defense of the television industry. He had been waging subtle political battles rather than taking action in the forefront of the entertainment industry until the attack on television by US politicians. He encouraged the industry to voluntarily rate itself and introduce the V-chip. He also fought the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, which still imposes limits on US entertainment features abroad, but lost.
