French demand for frozen fries sets new record

Abstract

French imports of frozen potato products were up 8% in 1995, mostly in the form of French fries. The main suppliers of frozen French fries to Europe are the Benelux countries, with the Netherlands the largest exporter in the world. France is the biggest European market for frozen foods with Belgium the main supplier of frozen vegetables to France. France is a top supplier of sweet corn to the remainder of the EU.
