Reaching for change

Representatives James Oberman and John Mica negotiated a bill that seeks to end the Federal Aviation Administration's 'cozy relationship' with airlines in regards to the FAA's duties in overseeing airline maintenance. The Pentagon is also reopening the competition for a new Air Force air-refueling tanker after a GAO finding of 'significant errors' in the first selection process. Hamilton Sundstrand is also protesting after a contract for a spacesuit was given by NASA to Oceaneering International.
