Materials science in Italian universities

Italian universities have begun to establish undergraduate and graduate programs in materials science. Degree programs are available at the Universities of Milan, Turin, Padua, Pisa and Bologna. These courses are provided at many universities under a consortium formed by the CNR, The National Institute for the Physics of Matter and the University Consortium for Materials Chemistry. 3-year courses are also available from departments of engineering or chemistry in most universities.
