Abstract

Pupils at UK schools which are experiencing particular difficulties deserve to benefit from the appointment of the best possible headteacher, deputy headteacher and teachers, according to David Hart, general secretary of the National Association of Head Teachers. This follows two cases in which schools were forced to close temporarily because of disputes regarding disruptive pupils. The UK government should make additional funds available for such schools.
