The caries experience and behavior of dental patients with autism spectrum disorder

A comparison of the oral health of patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with those without the condition reveals that people with ASD are 70.5 percent less likely to have a positive caries history than their counterpart. However, more patients with ASD are more uncooperative and require general anesthesia during dental treatment.
