Abstract

Coaxial cables used to link power amplifiers and loudspeakers to the power source perform better than other cables. The effects of cable characteristics on amplifier speaker systems are quantified using various experiments. Users of Naim and similar amplifiers lacking an output inductor should use the recommended cable and its length, regardless of the results. The ideal speaker cable must have zero resistance, inductance and impedance.
