Abstract
- Nucleotide sequence and phylogenetic analyses reveals that the archaeal 16S rRNA sequences from forest soil belong to the domain Archaea and form a new cluster. The phylogenetic position of this cluster suggests that the sequences belong to the terrestrial low-temperature Crenarchaeota kingdom. PCR amplification techniques along with Archaea-specific primers containing mixed-population DNA help to analyse the gene sequence.
