Abstract

A study was carried out to determine the adverse reactions that occurred among patients who had been administered or consumed contaminated heparin. Results showed that the presence of oversulfated chondroitin sulfate (OSCS) in the contaminated heparin was responsible for the adverse reactions among patients.
