Abstract
- Nickel(II) complexes were synthesized by utilizing a new class of potentially biomimetic, tripod ligands. The mixed functionality, N2O-donor ligands such as (2-hydroxyphenyl)bis(pyrazolyl)methane are composed of tris(pyrazolyl)borates that form three six-membered chelate rings. On the other hand, the (2-hydroxyphenyl)bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)methane ligand is composed of a phenolate arm that forms a seven-membered ring.
