Abstract
- A group of night workers was analyzed to determine the effects of altered circadian rhythms on melatonin (MT) profile and rectal temperature rhythms (Tre). Dissociation of circadian processes and environmental cues in night workers induced adaptations in MT rhythm with internal dissociation in some chronobiological markers. However, MT adaptation was variable in night workers while Tre rhythms were homogeneously shifted to the worker's sleep-wake cycle.
