Job losses bother man of many jobs

Association of American Editorial Cartoonists president Milt Priggee is trying to mobilize opposition to the decision by a growing number of daily newspapers to discontinue local editorial cartoons. Although papers may believe that they are saving money and avoiding controversies, Priggee points out that local content is a key to attracting readership. Priggee is a cartoonist for the Spokesman-Review of Spokane, WA, and also co-cartoonist of the syndicated 'Us and Them' comic strip.
