Abstract

Association of American Editorial Cartoonists president Milt Priggee is trying to mobilize opposition to the decision by a growing number of daily newspapers to discontinue local editorial cartoons. Although papers may believe that they are saving money and avoiding controversies, Priggee points out that local content is a key to attracting readership.
