Abstract
- Sperm samples that have been sorted to increase the likelihood of conceiving a child of one sex or the other may not actually have an increased percentage of sperm of one sex. Researchers analyzed 10 sperm samples from a sperm bank that offered samples treated to enrich the percentage of sperm of one sex or the other. Half were labeled as oriented toward females and half toward males. Analysis revealed a small shift toward one sex, but it was in the opposite direction from what was claimed for the sample.
