Abstract
- There has been growing interest in quality deer management in Texas since the 1970s. This state has the largest population of white-tailed deer in North America, and these deer are causing considerable ecological damage in some areas. Recent research has assessed various educational approaches to deer management directed at different stakeholder groups in the state. Some educational programs focus on producers, while others are aimed at consumers or young people. It has been established that there is a clear need for continuing education for wildlife professionals.
